This year, the Composites Processing and Fabrication technical sessions will follow the DMC07 theme, Superiority and Affordability as Requirements ... HOW Do We Get Both?". This is especially challenging in light of reduced production quantities while containing costs. These sessions will focus on innovative process technologies that improve war-fighter performance of DOD weapon systems via cost-effective applications of composite structures (organic matrix and ceramic matrix composites). Presentations are invited that demonstrate elevating the manufacturing technology readiness level of enabling technologies for fabrication and assembly. Topic sub-areas may include lower cost processing and assembly; improved machining; tooling for small lot sizes; process control; and repair.
Please submit abstracts in these topic areas. Presentations should include a sufficient degree of technical depth to provide useful data/information for attendees. Since panel discussions have been successful in the past, some presenters may be asked to participate on a panel as well as present.
